We depend on the committee and parents/carers to support us in our fundraising efforts.  Without fundraising, we cannot have special events or buy new equipment, so we organise a number of events throughout the year.  These include:

Christmas Cards
Christmas Fair & Raffle
Cake/Bun Sales
Easter Egg Decorating Competition
Spring Fair
Sponsored Pea Hunt

We really welcome new ideas for fundraising, and would love to hear from any parents/carers who want to get involved.

Yorkshire marathon!!

This is happening this weekend. Please show support for Lauren who is running the marathon and raising money for the pre-school. You still have time to donate (see details below) or pop to watch her on Sunday and cheer her on!

We can track her via the marathon app - 2442 Zone 5

What a star!

Click here for Lauren's Go Fund Me Page...

Lauren has previously volunteered at the pre-school and has decided to run a Marathon in October and raise money for US!!!

Message from Lauren:
'So I spontaneously decided to run a marathon this October! Considering I'm on my way to becoming a teacher, I thought it was only right to give back to the school and teachers that massively helped me out during my three years at University! Therefore any money I can raise will be donated to Heslington Pre-School in York.'

We'd be grateful if you'd visit her page and show support.....

Thank you!

Summer fundraising 2018

***Thank you to everyone that attended and donated towards the Summer Community Fair. We hope you had a fabulous afternoon, we did!!! The Pre-School raised £350 - thank you everyone!!***

The Community Summer Fair, which we ran alongside Lord Deramore's PTA and Heslington Church was a resounding success, despite the clash with the football.  Thank you to everyone who supported this event by donations, helping and/or coming along. It had a lovely feel and is one we are looking to repeat next year.  The school orchestra played beautifully, there were tasty burgers and sausages sourced from our local Badger Hill butcher as well as delicious tea and scones served in the church.  There were lots of fun and games for all ages and of course the football in the sun.

The profit from the fair will be split between the three organisations and looks to be in the region of £350 each. The Heslington Cubs pack co-ordinated a number of the games for their community badges.  The money they raised (£75) will be split evenly between the Young Carers Association and the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital.

A special mention to Butterfields Bakery (based in York, 07955247347) who donated 300 delicious, freshly made bread rolls to the fair.  We are very grateful to them and can highly recommend them should you need any baked goods or catering.

Heslington Pre-school has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund

We submitted an application at the end of last year to the Co-op Local Community Fund and we have been successful in being chosen for the latest round of funding.

1% of everything Co-op members spend on Co-op branded products and services go to the local cause you choose.

What a brilliant morning on Saturday 25th November at the Co-op Hull Road. The Pre-School officially accepted £3946.68 from the Local Community Fund. We are so amazed by the figure that has been raised. A special thank you to the local community and to the Co-op. This will allow us to install a piece of outdoor equipment and to use this money towards the outdoor area in the future.
